Expert Security System installation with UL Certified Monitoring & 24-Hour Response

Mountain Alarm Systems has been locally owned and operated in Lincoln County under the same ownership since 1978.  Owner/Operator Jack Halbrooks has 55+ years of personal experience in the security industry and is known for his meticulous attention to detail and outstanding customer service.  Jack Halbrooks moved from Texas to Ruidoso in 1978 with 15 years of experience in the security industry with one of the largest security companies in the world.  He worked on security systems in various industries such as aerospace technology and chemical plants just to name a few.

Jack observed numerous vacation homes that were vacant throughout the year in this beautiful resort community and thus, a burglar's paradise.  He recognized a real need for a high-quality security service provider and launched Mountain Alarm Systems to serve his community one monitored system at a time.  Our well-trained and licensed staff will install, maintain, monitor and respond to your system to ensure that your family and property is protected at all times.

"Starting a business from the ground up certainly humbles you," says Jack Halbrooks. "You never lose the feeling that each customer you acquire is the only one you will ever have. I still have many of my very first customers and every time I pass their business or home, I remember when they made the decision to put their trust in me. Today, they still trust and rely on the quality of our service."

What you need to know

What you need to know:

We hold all licenses required by the state, village and county.  Ask your alarm company for the following.  It's the LAW!

  • NM Contractor

  • NM Journeyman Electrical

  • NM PPO (Private Patrol Operators License) required to respond to alarms

  • City Business License

  • NM State Fire Marshall "Certificate of Fitness" for fire alarm installations

Do you really need a Security System?

Sure, you can live without one, but...

According to Statistics
52.png

According to statistics:

Homes without security systems are about 3 times more likely to be burglarized than homes with security systems. (Actual statistics range from 2.2 times to 3.1 times, depending on the value of the home.)

Businesses without alarm systems are 4.5 times more likely to be burglarized than commercial locations with electronic security in place.

"Statistics aside, our personal experience has shown that intruders prefer quick and easy.  In most instances, they want to get in and get out without complications so are more likely to break into homes and businesses without alarm systems. When a break-in is attempted and the alarm is activated, early notification helps to apprehend the intruders and eliminate extensive loss of property and vandalism. "
